Mt Langley, Northeast gully

Langley's Northeast couloir
The Northeast gully of Mt Langley is another ski-mountaineering gem of southern Sierra. The vertical gain, the exposure, and technical effort are on par with Whitney's mountaineering route. Yet,  a fellow mountaineer would be lucky to see another soul up there in winter.
A bit of dirt road on the approach is usually in good shape. And there is a section of missing/faint trail from the Stone House onward. The route is very obvious, and doesn't require difficult creek crossings or rock scrambles. Above tree level it is a ski-mountaineer's dream.
